In Memoriam: Pat Fleming

Location: Toronto, ON

Dear Faculty, Fellows, Residents and Colleagues,

It brings me much sadness to announce the passing of Patricia Fleming, wife of Emeritus Professor and past Toronto Western Hospital Division Head Dr. Ross Fleming, on Jan. 10, 2012 at the age of 81. Pat died peacefully at home from complications of Parkinson's disease with family at her side. She and Ross were proud parents of four children and grandparents of ten grandchildren.

We remember Pat for being a difference-maker and for her dedicated efforts in serving others through her work in Christian education and in seniors advocacy through Family Services Toronto and Sprint. She was an inspiration to all who knew her and will be sorely missed. Please join me in extending condolences to Ross and the extended Fleming family at this time.

A visitation will be held at Morley Bedford Funeral Home (159 Eglinton Ave. W., Toronto) on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2012 from 2-6 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Clement's Anglican Church (70 Clements Ave.) on Monday, Jan. 16, 2012 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pat's Place c/o Family Service Toronto or to Sprint (www.sprint-homecare.ca).
